Boss and mechanic notes
AAC Light-heavyweight M3 has local boss notes for: Vile Heat: Brute Bomber. These notes are pulled from the local wiki and should be treated as source-backed prep unless separately marked as human-reviewed strategy.
- Brutal Impact: Four hits of raid-wide physical damage.
- Knuckle Sandwich: Targets the off-tank with a telegraphed split damage tankbuster dealing physical damage. They should stack with the main tank.
- Brutal Lariat: The boss jumps to one wall and one of his arms will begin glowing, indicating a wide 180 degree cleave that will hit to the arm's glowing side and in front of the boss. The opposite flank is safe. The boss will charge to the opposite end of the arena.
- Murderous Mist: The boss gathers green poison around itself, indicating a late telegraphed 270 degree frontal cleave leaving his rear safe.
- Barbarous Barrage: Spawns four towers that should be soaked by one player each, which will also deal magical damage (Explosion) and knock them back away from the center of the tower. The knockback can be prevented with knockback resist actions. If not, position to be knocked to the opposite corner of the arena from the tower to avoid being knocked into the fire border.
- Fire Spin: A telegraphed frontal conal AoE that will rotate in the direction of the arrows. The boss will complete one full circle, only hitting each cone of the arena once, meaning if you move into where the first attack occurs, you're safe from the entire rest of the spin.
- Fuses of Fury: The fuses are ignited! Spawns several untargetable bomb adds, some of which will have short fuses while others will have long fuses. These will use a late telegraphed point-blank AoE, with the short fuse bombs exploding first.
- Doping Draught: The boss receives a buff, increasing damage dealt and augmenting some of its attacks for the remainder of the fight.
- Lariat Combo: Similar to Brutal Lariat, but used twice in a row. The second hit may hit the same or the opposite side of the arena as the first.
- Brutal Burn: Stack marker AoE on a random player dealing heavy magical damage.
- Brutal Impact now hits for six times instead of four.
- Infernal Spin: Similar to Fire Spin, but now also has a point-blank AoE that cascades into concentric donut AoEs (Explosive Rain), in addition to the rotating frontal cone (which will once again make exactly one full circle). In addition, near the end of the sequence, three sets of dark red circle AoEs will spawn on random players' locations.
- Fuses of Fury will be combined with Lariat Combo, with the first Lariat attack coinciding with the explosion of the long-fuse bombs. Players should dodge the short-fuse bombs, then move to one of the prior locations of the short fuse bombs that is that is also safe from the boss's first cleave.
- Fuses of Fury will also be combined with Barbarous Barrage, where the short-fuse bombs going off a couple seconds after the towers knockback, and Murderous Mist, which will go off a few seconds after the long-fuse bombs explode.
