What counts as a priority unlock
Prioritize quests that unlock a duty, job, system, collection route, tribe/allied society, raid series, relic step, or repeatable weekly activity. Normal lore side quests can wait unless you specifically want the story.
- dungeons: 104 local wiki pages
- trials: 105 local wiki pages
- raids: 177 local wiki pages
- beast tribes: 20 local wiki pages
- relics: 2,037 local wiki pages
First-pass order
Clear MSQ gates first, then unlock roulettes and required duties, then normal/alliance raid stories, then side systems, then collection grinds. This prevents a new or returning player from scattering progress across too many unrelated systems.
- MSQ and job quests first.
- Dungeons/trials/raids next.
- Beast tribes, relics, Gold Saucer, PvP, and collection systems after the core route is stable.
Verification rule
If an unlock has a level, item level, NPC, or coordinate requirement, it should resolve to a local wiki page or official/community source before being promoted from checklist to walkthrough.
- Use local wiki as first source.
- Use Lodestone notes for patch changes.
- Do not invent NPC coordinates from memory.
