Dungeon (Hard) quick facts
To the chagrin of countless treasure hunters, the golden coffer of the legendary Mistbeard was not to be found on Hullbreaker Isle. And so like the mists which had withdrawn to reveal the isle did those ambitious souls depart to seek fame and fortune elsewhere, allowing Eynzhar Slafyrsyn to quietly petition Admiral Merlwyb for permission to repurpose it as a training ground for Maelstrom recruits. The storm marshal would have you be the first to brave this gauntlet, that you might pit yourself against the isle's fearsome fauna and the Maelstrom's elite, and in so doing rouse their spirits. Will you give the storm officers a beating they will not soon forget, or will they stand triumphant at...

Boss and mechanic notes
Hullbreaker Isle (Hard) has local boss notes for: Battle Coeurl, Sanguine Sirens Gunner, Sanguine Sirens Lodeswoman, Sanguine Sirens Targirl, Ymir, Grand Storm Marshal Slafyrsyn and Mistbeard. These notes are pulled from the local wiki and should be treated as source-backed prep unless separately marked as human-reviewed strategy.
- Detailed mechanics not available from the source page.
- Blanket Thunder - deals a room-wide AoE, followed by a lightning tether between two players. Move away from each other to break the tether.
- Slime spots. These will cause you to become fettered for a time. However, they are useful because...
- Megavolt - players will be marked with a red flag. If this happens, move into the slime to become fettered and also immune to the lightning.
- Flash Freeze - makes the arena slippery for a few seconds, then marks players with an ice flag and a circle. Each marker will drop an Iceberg at the spot where it detonated, and then these icebergs will explode in large AoEs after a few seconds. Try to place all of the circles close to each other without overlapping, then slide away from the icebergs once they have been placed.
- Maelstrike - room-wide AoE.
- Ghomoro Splitter - fire puddles will appear on the ground, and then explode.
- Poison Mist - All players will be inflicted with an un-Esunable Poison, and then several chests will appear. Chests containing a blue potion will cure one player's poison each, while chests with bombs will explode for room-wide damage. Players should split up and touch the chests containing potions.
- Bullet Hell - high-damaging room-wide AoE.
- Grenado Shot - A player is marked with a crosshair and inflicted with a severe Heavy before the boss targets them with a high-damage AoE. The heavy needs to be removed by Esuna ASAP. This timing is very tight if you fail to notice the target icon, so if the person cannot escape, heal them to full so they can soak the damage.
- Firesand Kegs - The boss will spawn these around the arena, and then begin targeting them. After a few seconds, a targeted keg will explode, causing massive damage in a large AoE. Players can attack the kegs to knock them away, making it easier to dodge the explosions.
