Boss and mechanic notes
AAC Cruiserweight M3 has local boss notes for: Twisted Vengeance: Brute Abombinator. These notes are pulled from the local wiki and should be treated as source-backed prep unless separately marked as human-reviewed strategy.
- Brutal Impact: Three hits of physical raid-wide damage. Will hit more times in later phases.
- Stoneringer: The Bludgeoning or Stoneringer: The Stabbing: The boss will spawn either a club (bludgeoning) or a sword (stabbing). This will denote a point-blank or donut AoE, respectively, that is stored for later.
- Brutish Swing: The off-tank will be marked with a split damage AoE physical tankbuster (Brutal Smash). This resolves immediately after the stored point-blank or donut AoE from its drawn weapon.
- Spore Sac: Spawns four circle AoE telegraphs, summoning spores that will extend in two directions, causing additional circle AoE telegraphs (Pollen) to spawn from their ends. This is combined with Pulp Smash, a physical stack marker AoE on a random player. This leaves behind a dark red circle AoE telegraph at the stack AoE's location, along with eight conal AoE telegraphs that radiate from it.
- Blooming Abomination adds will spawn from the spore sacs. These should be defeated with AoE attacks. Three of the adds will use Crossing Crosswinds (a telegraphed plus-shaped line AoE pair) while the fourth will use Winding Wildwinds (a large telegraphed donut AoE). These attacks can be interrupted to create more space for dodging, but this is not strictly necessary. The adds will leave behind their corpse when defeated.
- Quarry Swamp: A roomwide AoE that will inflict Stone Curse, petrifying the player and causing any damage they take to be lethal. This attack must be avoided by hiding behind a living or dead Blooming Abomination add. Any living adds will be petrified and be instantly killed with any additional attack.
- Explosion: Three proximity AoEs will appear in a triangle pattern, spawning either clockwise or counterclockwise. Start opposite from the first one and rotate away from them in the direction they spawn to mitigate the magical damage. The damage fall-off threshold is strict, so be as far away from them as possible.
- Neo Bombarian Special: Physical raidwide damage and will fling players off of the arena. Players must position to be knocked towards the north platform by standing at the north cardinal edge.
- Upon landing, the boss will immediately attach itself to the north pillar. Its hitbox will enlarge and it will gain Directional Disregard whenever it is attached to a pillar.
- Stoneringer: The Bludgeoning + Brutish Swing: Functions similarly as before, but not coupled with a tankbuster (only the point-blank AoE).
- Stoneringer: The Stabbing + Brutish Swing: The boss will spawn a sword and tether the southwest pillar, causing it to move to it and the donut AoE to originate from its new location.
- Note that gapclosing to the boss when too close to the edge where it is located will cause the player to fall off the arena.
- Glower Power: A telegraphed line AoE in front of the boss and spread marker AoEs on each player, dealing magical damage.
- Abominable Blink: One tank will be targeted with a flare marker. They should move far away from the party to mitigate the magical damage. The corner within melee range of the boss is one option to place the flare. This attack also functions as a tankbuster on them.
