Alchemist at a glance
The Alchemist is a crafting discipline dedicated to the art and science of transmutation, the process of manipulating materials at a fundamental level to create new substances with potent properties. Unlock and leveling route
Any character with a level 10 Disciple of War or Magic class can become an Alchemist. The quest "Way of the Alchemist" is obtained from the NPC Lydirlona in the Steps of Thal, Ul'dah (X:12.2, Y:13.2). Upon completion, the player receives their first alembic and mortar and is officially enrolled in the guild. Alchemists, like all crafters, use the Crafting Log to synthesize items.
