Overview
Calyx's trail has led you to Alexandria's castle and into a wicked trap. Seeking to take more precise measurements of your strength, Calyx pits you against a mechanical guardian forged from Sphene's memories of Zelenia, the second-in-command of the royal knights. The queen implores you to lay this affront to her dear friend's honor to rest. Make ready to test your mettle against one of Alexandria's finest blades!
Strategy Notes
- Please note that the arena is surrounded by a dangerous AoE. Being hit by avoidable AoEs will result in a 1 minute stacking Vulnerability Up debuff.
- :*Before Shock is first used, Sphene will say, "I know this technique... You must keep moving!". This does not mean players must continuously run in circles like an Absolute Blizzard mechanic. Instead, as previously mentioned, it simply means to move out of the AoEs once the overhead timer expires.
Boss Encounters
Queen's Knight: Zelenia
- Alexandrian Thunder IV: The boss will spawn a point-blank AoE telegraph (a purple electric circle) followed by a donut AoE telegraph (a purple electric ring), or vice versa.
- Shock: The lightning energy begins to surge... All players are given a blue spread marker. These leave behind a pulsating persistent magical AoE that will disappear after several seconds, so move out of them once the overhead timer expires.
- Power Break: The boss's sword will begin glowing and be brandished to one side, indicating a late telegraphed half-room cleave.
- Holy Hazard: The boss spawns two sequential opposite pairs of 120 degree AoE cleave telegraphs. The first one will disappear before the second one appears. The AoEs will then resolve in sequence when the cast bar fills.
- Specter of the Lost: Telegraphed conal physical tankbuster on both tanks.
- Thunder Slash: The boss will cover the room with three sets of two 60 degree AoE cleave telegraphs. In addition, the in/out telegraphs Alexandrian Thunder IV will appear. Start on the third orange ground telegraph and dodge the first in/out AoE, then move into the first and dodge the second out/in.
- The boss will then use an unavoidable radial knockback from the center that will stun everyone. A short cutscene will play in which the boss uses her ultimate attack, Perfumed Quietus, dealing magical damage.
- Roseblood Bloom: The boss divides the arena into six sectors. Two of the sectors will be marked with red floral patterns.
- When a red sector is hit by certain attacks, it will explode and damage anyone standing in it. Any adjacent red sectors will also explode.
- In addition, a persistent circle AoE will appear in the middle of the room that will inflict a heavy Bleeding to anyone who steps in it.
- Alexandrian Thunder III: Three circle AoE telegraphs with rose markers will spawn, two overlapping a red sector, and the other two on normal (brown) sectors. Dodge these while outside the red sectors, as they will explode.
- Roseblood Bloom: Similar as before, except four sectors will now be red, leaving two opposite normal sectors. Four sequential Alexandrian Thunder III telegraphs will appear, the first two on adjacent red sectors, and the second two on the other red sectors.
- The boss will combine this with Power Break, which goes off after the first two lightning AoEs.
- Stock Break: Four-hit stack AoE on a random player, dealing magical damage.
- Roseblood Bloom: Similar as before, except three alternating sectors will be red, leaving three alternating normal sectors.
- Roseblood Drop: The boss summons an untargetable Roseblood Drop orb that will travel across the arena and land on a sector, turning it red. Shortly before it reaches its direction, three Alexandrian Thunder III telegraphs will appear, each hitting one sector. The party should be on a normal sector that is not the destination of the orb, as its destination sector will be connected to the other red sectors and explode.
- Another set of three circle telegraphs will appear and the boss will use Power Break, which goes off at the same time. Dodge the half-room cleave and explosions on a normal sector.
- Roseblood Bloom: Similar as before, but now spawns two opposite red sectors.
- Another moving Roseblood Bloom will also spawn.
- The boss will cast Holy Hazard, leaving two different opposite sectors safe for each cleave. However, the party must dodge the first cleave in a normal sector opposite from the destination of the orb, as all red sectors will explode upon resolution of each cleave.
